COSHH Awareness Course

Who's it for:

All operatives requiring information on the implications of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 1999.

Aims and benefits:

This course has been designed to enable delegates to understand these regulations,
their responsibilities, recent developments and the training that is required for
appropriate people.

Course Content:

• Demonstrate an appreciation of COSHH regulations and the legal requirements to assess the health risks from hazardous substances in the workplace
• Give a greater awareness of substances that can cause ill effects in the workplace
• Understand HSE Guidance ‘COSHH Essentials’
• Understand dealing with Toxicity, Exposure and Control measures required
• Understand storage, action to take with spillages and dealing with emergencies

• Written Test
• In House Certification upon successful completion of course
